Codeita is a way for people to collaborate on web applications through a web interface. Codeita allows you to do the following:
One BIG thing that I see it is missing is version control. There isn’t a way currently to keep track of versions or roll back and forth from the other person’s edits that you are collaborating with.
The editor that they are using when you write your files is CodeMirror which provides great syntax highlighting for writing code-like content.
With the heavy movement away from Flash for playing video on the web over to HTML5 there have been quite a few new HTML5 video players to come out. This is the first one I’ve seen that is both open source and GPL(commercial and non-commercial use).
The free section in Craigslist is where you can post free items you’d like to give away or find some pretty nice treasures from other people.
Today alone I found(all in decent condition) the following items:
Most of the items are from someone moving and not wanting to move it. It’s also a great way to get rid of your own items that aren’t worth very much.
As a freelancer I go to coffee shops quite a bit and other businesses with wifi. I typically only go to places with free wifi and there are quite a few of those nowadays.
One place that would be nice to go to but partners with AT&T for wifi is Starbucks. There is a way around this though which is pretty simple to do.
I’m not sure how long your wifi lasts or when it is supposed to run out. I’ve used it for around 6-7 hours the past two days and mine is still going strong.
Voice based phone menus have become fairly popular with businesses recently, personally I’d rather stick with the numbers until it’s more accurate. Most of the time it botches what you say and you end up wanting to punch them through the phone.
I’m pretty excited about Fonolo and it looks like they are in the runnings for a Webby as well up against Tumblr, Dropbox and a few others. Give Fonolo a try next time you need to call a business, you can use their web application or they also have an iPhone application available.
They are still in beta and may have a few kinks to work out but they are definitely providing a much needed service.
The publishing platform is a hosted service within the cloud and doesn’t look to be downloadable. All of the content you put into the platform is available via their API in pretty much any format you can imagine, this is a good thing and means you can bring your content with you whenever.

Osmek takes care of quite a few core features that a site typically needs such as:
They are already powering some nicely done sites as well if you look towards the bottom of their homepage.
